Privacy policy.

We collect only what the site survey form asks for. We use it to get back to you about your request — nothing else. We don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

1. Who this covers

This policy covers personal information collected through this site (securegatehq.com), specifically the site survey request form. It applies to visitors who submit that form. SecureGate Systems Limited (“SecureGate”, “we”, “us”) is the organisation responsible for this data.

2. What we collect

When you request a site survey, we ask for:

  • Your name
  • Your organisation (estate, school, company or venue)
  • Your role — optional (e.g. chairman, proprietor, facility manager)
  • Facility type (estate, school, corporate/bank, government, event/venue, or other)
  • Location — optional, free text (e.g. “city, country” — not GPS)
  • A phone number
  • Whether you're happy for us to use that number on WhatsApp — optional, separate tick box
  • Anything you choose to add in the message field — optional
  • Your confirmation that we can contact you about the request (see §4, Consent)

We do not currently ask for an email address on this form — your phone number (and WhatsApp, if you opt in) is how we get back to you. If that changes, we'll update this section.

We also run a basic, invisible check that helps us tell a real enquiry from an automated spam submission. It doesn't collect anything about you, and submissions that trip it are silently discarded, not stored.

3. Why we collect it

Only to respond to your survey request: to call, message, or email you back, understand your facility, and arrange a site visit if it's a fit. We don't use it for marketing lists, profiling, or anything beyond handling your enquiry.

4. Consent

Submitting the form requires you to tick a box confirming we can contact you about your request — the form won't submit without it. WhatsApp contact is a second, separate, optional tick box: we'll only message you there if you specifically opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (§14); if you do, we'll stop reaching out and delete your details unless we're required to keep a record for a legitimate reason.

5. Other ways you contact us

The site also links to WhatsApp, phone, and email. Clicking those links opens your own messaging or calling app — we don't receive anything until you actually send a message or place a call. Once you do, we handle that conversation the same way we handle a form submission, under this same policy.

6. Where it's stored

Your enquiry is sent to us as an email and kept in our company mailbox. We do not copy it into a separate database, and no third-party marketing or analytics service receives it. Our email is hosted by Hostinger, our hosting provider, which processes it on our behalf under their terms; their servers are outside Nigeria, so your details are transmitted and stored abroad for the purpose of answering you. Access is limited to the people at SecureGate who handle enquiries.

7. Who sees it

SecureGate staff who follow up on survey requests. Hostinger, as our email and hosting provider, has the technical access needed to operate the mailbox, under its own security obligations to us. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with advertisers or other third parties.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we're actively responding to and following up on your request, then for a limited administrative period afterward in case you get back in touch. After that, we delete them. If you'd rather we delete sooner, contact us (§14) and we will, unless we're required to keep a record for a legitimate reason (for example, a signed installation contract that followed from your enquiry, which is covered separately, not by this form). Otherwise we delete enquiries 12 months after we last dealt with them.

9. Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law, and as good practice everywhere, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your details
  • Restrict or object to how we use them
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To do any of this, contact info@securegatehq.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), the regulator for data protection in Nigeria.

10. Cookies and analytics

The site uses Plausible for basic analytics — page views and click events, in aggregate. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you personally.

11. Children

This site and its survey form are aimed at adults responsible for a facility — estate executives, proprietors, facility managers. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child's information has reached us, contact us (§14) and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the date below. Last updated 5 August 2026.

13. Governing law and your regulator

This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and in particular the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, which the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) enforces.
